1. The concept and process of MIM
Metal powder injection moulding(MIM) is a high-tech combination of traditional powder metallurgy technology and plastic injection molding technology. It’s a revolution in the forming process of small and complex metal parts. It homogeneously mixes the applicable technical powder with a binder into a rheological feed, injection into a specific shape on an injection machine, which is called blank. After degreasing and sintering, the blank would be densified into a finished metal part. Post-processed can be done if necessary.

Ingredient→Mixing→Feedstock→Injection→Chemical Extraction→Degreasing→Sintering→Post-process→Finished Parts
1. Features of MIM
Metal powder injection moulding(MIM) combines the advantages of powder metallurgy and plastic injection molding technology, breaking through the limitations of traditional metal powder molding process in product shape. At the same time, plastic injection molding technology can produce parts with complex shapes in large quantities and with high efficiency. MIM can do various shapes metal parts, such as external grooving, external thread, tapered external surface, cross-through hole, blind hole, recessed table, key pin, ribbed plate, surface knurling,etc.
